Port of Tacoma Commissioners on July 15 approved design authorization for the East Commencement Habitat Opportunity (ECHO) project and the Port’s 2026-2030 Strategic Plan. 

On July 17, in a special meeting, Commissioners approved an agreement with BNSF regarding a new alignment, easement, and private rail crossing at the Port Maritime Center.
